Add a new filament for a manufacture to filament.uno
Adding a new type of filament for a manufacturers makes it that everyone can directly add it to the inventory. So let's see how that is done.
Like with a manufacturer, newly added filaments need approval before they are shown on the site. We try to approve it as soon as possible, but it might take a few days in some cases.
Adding a new filament for a manufacturer is a bit harder, but still very simple!
First, we need to weight the total spool size, and need to know the total filament on the spool.
Place the spool on a scale, and remember the weight of the filament. The filament weight itself, should be shown on the package.
Now, lookup the manufacturer of the filament, and select it. At the bottom of the page is a form to add add a new filament type.
For the total weight, fill in the weight you just got from the scale.
For the filament weight, fill in the weight from the package.
Now just need to fill in the filament flavour, and you are done!
After approval, it will show up on the site, and you will be able to add it to your inventory.
